When You are Scared to Order Kitchen Cabinets
You’ve reached the end of the line, and it’s time to actually order kitchen cabinets. It’s a nervewracking spot to be in, and emotions run high when people are stuck between wanting their new kitchen and being frightened of whether or not they’re ready to pull the trigger on a kitchen cabinets order. Let me see if I can help you through it…
You are being completely normal. I can’t say it enough. It’s perfectly understandable that you are giddy one moment when you think of the new kitchen you’re about to receive, and as scared as a deer in headlights when you think of everything that can go wrong once you order kitchen cabinets.
What if the finish isn’t right? When you order kitchen cabinets, you want them to be the same color as the sample you fell in love with. But there’s that finish disclaimer the manufacturer made you sign… Meh?
What if the wider doors don’t look as good as the 12″ wide sample door you saw, or what if you don’t like them in a taller state? Eghads, what if someone MEASURED WRONG? Again, you’re being normal.
When you order kitchen cabinets, so many things can go wrong it’s a wonder sometimes that anything ever goes right. I’m on the supplier end at The Cabinet Folks, so I see and hear people in various states of “AAAAHHHH”-ness every day. If it’s any consolation, I’m usually laying awake at night worrying right along with them… The best bet is to just have a healthy dose of “settle down,” and know that in the end you’ll probably be fine. If your kitchen cabinet salesperson was any good, all of these things were being ironed out as the process went along.
